NEUBILITY Unveils Billi, a Hybrid Humanoid Combining Spatial Intelligence with Manipulation Capabilities

From Mobility to Physical Task Execution: The First Humanoid for Everyday Commercial Use

2026. 10. 08

NEUBILITY held NEUBILITY’s first standalone media preview, 'Billi: The First Look', at KT&G Sangsang Planet in Seongsu, Seoul, on September 29, presenting the first live technology demonstration of the hybrid humanoid robot Billi. Representatives from key partners, including CJ CheilJedang, NVIDIA, and AWS, attended alongside approximately 50 Korean media outlets. The demonstration showcased the potential for NEUBILITY’s spatial intelligence-based Physical AI strategy to extend into industrial environments.

Billi is NEUBILITY’s first form factor developed with commercialization as a goal, integrating mobility and manipulation based on spatial intelligence accumulated by NEUBILITY. Billi extends robot capabilities from autonomous navigation to physical task execution.

Industrial workflows involve a sequence of actions: understanding the relationship between the environment and the task target, navigating and approaching a suitable working position, and manipulating objects to complete the intended task. Billi is designed to recognize task targets and surrounding environments using spatial intelligence refined through field operations of NEUBILITY’s autonomous mobile robot, Neubi, and to perform material transport, loading, and equipment operation as a connected workflow.

NEUBILITY plans to validate Billi’s task performance and operational reliability in manufacturing and logistics environments and expand the application of spatial intelligence to meet the environmental conditions and task requirements of individual sites.

Billi Combines Field-Refined Spatial Intelligence with Manipulation Capabilities to Execute Physical Tasks

NEUBILITY has operated autonomous robot services at more than 150 real-world sites in Korea and overseas, accumulating data and operational experience across diverse spaces and environments. Billi embodies spatial intelligence developed from this foundation, bringing Physical AI into physical work environments. With a deep understanding of physical spaces, Billi perceives surrounding environments and task targets and independently determines navigation routes and suitable working positions. Billi combines a height-adjustable upper body capable of 360-degree rotation, robotic arms and hands for precision manipulation, a modular payload compartment that can be expanded to meet task requirements, and a wheeled mobile base.

For example, when transporting materials in logistics or manufacturing environments, Billi detects nearby pedestrians and obstacles while navigating to the designated work area. Upon approaching the target object, Billi adjusts the upper-body height to match the object’s position, picks up and loads the object, and transports it to the next work area. Billi then places the object at the designated location, enabling subsequent tasks to proceed.

Navigation is supported by technologies NEUBILITY has refined through real-world service operations, including camera-based mapless autonomous navigation, which enables navigation by perceiving the surrounding environment without a prebuilt high-definition map, and Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (V-SLAM), which uses camera images to map the environment and estimate the robot’s position. By connecting object perception with manipulation, Billi is designed to translate spatial understanding and decision-making into physical actions.

Validating Commercial Deployment Potential in Manufacturing and Logistics in the Second Half of 2026

NEUBILITY will conduct field proof-of-concept (PoC) trials in the second half of 2026 to validate Billi’s task performance, operational reliability, and deployment feasibility in manufacturing and logistics environments. Initial PoC trials are planned with partners in large-scale food and beverage manufacturing, logistics and distribution, and major integrated transportation facilities.

NEUBILITY plans to continuously enhance Billi to respond flexibly to diverse environments and task requirements and expand deployment across industrial settings. NEUBILITY also plans to support Billi’s commercial services through an RX (Robot Transformation) solution encompassing operations, monitoring, and maintenance, built on NEUBILITY’s proprietary integrated platform, NCC (Neubility Control Center).

“NEUBILITY has reliably operated Neubi robot services across diverse real-world environments, continuously enhancing spatial understanding and autonomous navigation performance through field data. Billi is a hybrid humanoid developed on the foundation of operational experience and spatial intelligence accumulated at sites in Korea and overseas. By extending field tasks centered on autonomous mobility to applications requiring object perception and manipulation, Billi will broaden the roles robots can perform in industrial environments,” said Kee-hyuk Kang, CEO of NEUBILITY.

“NEUBILITY will deliver tangible improvements in customers’ operational efficiency across industries, including logistics and distribution. Building on Neubi, NEUBILITY will also establish a commercial deployment model that enables the sustained use of Physical AI in real-world environments through an integrated RX solution supporting on-site deployment and reliable operations,” Kang added.

NEUBILITY has continued to enhance spatial intelligence and commercial operational capabilities by operating autonomous robot services at diverse sites in Korea and overseas, including Deoksugung Palace, Chungnam National University Hospital, and Tokyo, Japan. In 2024, NEUBILITY became the first company in Korea to obtain Operational Safety Certification for Outdoor Mobile Robots. NEUBILITY also passed the safety standards conformity assessment conducted by the Robot Delivery Association of Japan this year. Drawing on this experience, NEUBILITY plans to deploy Billi in new industrial environments, including manufacturing and logistics, and extend the RX experience accumulated through existing autonomous robots into physical task execution.
